Inna & Ljova Debut CD holiday bundle

from Ljova

Just in time for the holidays, Inna and I are releasing a specially priced CD gift bundle, featuring Inna's debut CD "Yiddish Lullabies and Love Songs" and Ljova's 2006 debut "Vjola: World on Four Srings". Autographed by us to anyone you choose. Free shipping in the USA.

Yiddish lullabies and love songs - twinkling lullabies and earnest songs of love and love gone wrong. Raw, beautiful and elegant in their simplicity, many of the songs are rarely heard treasures of old Soviet era anthologies of songs collected in the shtetls of Ukraine in the 1920s.
Performances by Inna Barmash, Ljova, Dmitri 'Zisl' Slepovitch, Shoko Nagai and Dmitry Ishenko. Liner notes by Dmitri 'Zisl' Slepovitch. Artwork by Irina Sheynfeld, photography by Mark Gurevich.

Ljova's debut album "Vjola: World on Four Strings" was released in 2006 to rave reviews. Most of the tracks feature Ljova's early collaborations with filmmakers, recorded by Ljova himself, mulititracking his viola to create sweeping ensembles. Many of the tracks from this album have gone on to be used again and again in films, dance productions, and performed on the concert stage. Featuring a cameo appearance by the accordionist Michael Ward-Bergeman, and the artworks of Angel Orensanz.
